The purpose of Equality and Diversity training is to explain what the terms mean to all of us. It is not to instil political correctness or tell people what to think, on the contrary it is about providing basic, accurate information across all aspects of diversity.
It is also to stimulate individual thought on the basis of fact, rather than perpetuate the urban myths. The aim is to increase our knowledge from an employee and a customer standpoint, to understand the Law and help prevent discrimination against our colleagues and customers.
